USPS SCAM  – FREE VACATIONS

USPS Post Inspectors are scamming OWCP claimants by sending them letters telling them they won a free vacation.
It is a SCAM !
The PI’s will video everything you do, then work with the US Attorney to charge you with fraud regarding your OWCP claim/s.
If you go, jail is in your future !
There is no such thing as a free vacation!

“Reviewing Workers’ Compensation for Federal Employees”

May 12, 2011

Statement of Scott Szymendera
Analyst in Disability Policy
Congressional Research Service

Chairman Walberg, Ranking Member Woolsey, and Members of the subcommittee, my name is Scott Szymendera and I am an analyst at the Congressional Research Service. Thank you for inviting me to testify before the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections on workers’ compensation for federal employees.

For nearly 100 years, members of America’s civil service have been protected from economic losses associated with employment-related injuries and illnesses, and their families have been protected in cases of employment-related deaths, by the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act, or FECA, a workers’ compensation program administered by the Department of Labor. In my testimony today, I will provide an overview of workers’ compensation in the United States, the original intent of Congress when creating FECA, a legislative history of the FECA program, and a plain-language summary of the features of the FECA program that serves federal employees today.

GO ON VACATION – THEN GO TO JAIL !

In a recent trial for fraud against the OWCP system, the US Attorney said [Postal Inspectors for the US Post Office reviewed all the workers who had been on the periodic rolls for more than a year and completed a 1032. They sent postcards to them about winning a [phony] free vacation.

(Those people were filmed while on that “free” vacation, and that video was later used at trial to convict them of workers compensation fraud, and send them to jail.)

If you “win” a free vacation – realize you are a target of a fraud investigation. DON’T GO !

If you are an OWCP recipient and need to push another family member or friend in a wheel-chair – STOP doing that!

If you are an OWCP recipient and have a small child in the family, don’t be seen lifting up that child.

REMEMBER – when you go out your front door, consider yourself under video surveillance by an agent of the US Government hoping to put you in jail for workers compensation fraud.

DO NOT expect juries to believe your explanation that the activity was innocent and required no effort.
